MISTRA UNFILTERED OLIVE OIL

Mistra Estates Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced from as many as ten varieties
of olives grown in the foothills of Mt. Taygetos in southern Greece, overlooking
the ancient city of Sparta. This purely Greek olive oil comes from trees grafted
from wild olive stock and is produced in limited quantities by traditional and
painstaking methods. Because the olive trees of Mistra Estates are cultivated by
the centuries-old dry method, fed only by seasonal rains, they yield small
harvests with very rich oil. The olives are hand-picked and carefully selected,
the oil is produced from their first cold pressing, then stored in stainless
steel tanks for settling, after three to four months it gets bottled without
filtration preserving all its goodness and the result is a full-bodied,
deeply-colored olive oil that can be appreciated for its own distinctive
bouquet, rich and complex flavor. Each bottle individually numbered and marked
with the harvest year and labeled with full nutritional information in
accordance with FDA regulations. Healthful, vitamin E-rich, cholesterol-free
Mistra Estates Extra Virgin Olive Oil is especially recommended for dressing
salads, vegetables and pasta, for marinating meat and fish, and for simple
drizzling over feta cheese, toast, or freshly-baked bread.
